I’m not a Photographer.
Photography is just one of the many steps found between my idea and completed image.
I see photography as a moment in time. I don’t mean the captured image, I mean there is a moment when everything I know, everything I planned or didn’t plan for, when my breathing is just right, when the subject moves the right way, all come together and send a signal in a fraction of a second through my body, down my arm, and into my trigger finger pushing a button. It isn’t always pure Zen, but sometimes, once in a while, it is. I envy those people that can channel this energy on command. However, photography is just one magic moment in the fucking huge layer cake of image-tastic savagery that is possible with a bad-ass computer and lots of free time.
